In order to legally immigrate to the United States, an individual must submit to an Immigration DNA test to prove a biological link between a person in the US (the petitioner) and a person in a foreign country (the beneficiary). In order to establish this connection, a DNA test must be performed, usually using what is called a ‘buccal swab’. A buccal swab is a long plastic stick with a cotton swab on one end. The swab is rubbed inside the cheek to collect DNA skin cells. Genetic markers are matched up in the laboratory to establish a biological link between two people. Immigration DNA testing is not limited to Paternity (ie: Father and Child), but is used to prove a link for a number of other relationships like Maternity, Grandparantage, Sibilingship, and more.
With a biological link established, the American Embassy in the foreign country and the US Department of Homeland Security can verify and validate a relationship between the petitioner and the beneficiary; thereby authorizing the beneficiary as eligible for immigration to the United States.
Immigration DNA tests are easy, painless, and well worth the fees involved. The process of immigration DNA testing is an investment that can produce benefits that last a lifetime.
